You discuss what kind of project to submit for a possible tiny tapeout. Turns out they are currently holding a Demo scene contest, the perfect excuses to play around with for your first design.
No need to have an excuse for it to be useful or novel or up to a standard; it only needs to look cool. So see where the journey through logic gates take you.
Plus discussing how to make cool graphics sounds very approachable. As it can speak to ones imagination. I would love to hear someone speak about generating graphics on FPGAs.
I have never designed a chip before nor made anything demo scene related. So maybe I’m thinking to lightly of it. But since the topic came up I wanted to let you know about the contest (not affiliated).
The contest runs now till September 6th 2024. https://tinytapeout.com/competitions/demoscene/
