Thanks to everyone who participated. It was fun to see how people around the world call their chips. And wow! You guys are from all over! It’s really awesome and makes the world feel like a smaller, better place. Thanks again!

I only rarely have heard it followed by timer. Five-five-five timer sounds redundant to my ears. Ex: “We could just use a five-five-five for that if we’re out of GPIO.” I don’t think I’ve heard anything other than that.
BTW, I worked in FL for a long time. They say BIOS with the same vowel sounds as bio. In WI we say something closer to bias. I don’t know why that is b/c generally we round our O’s more.
We also say Linux with vowel sound in lens, while in FL about half the time they say it with the vowel sound in line.
Despite Madison being more progressive, I think plug/socket instead male/female is more common in FL. OTOH, I saying root/remote instead of master/slave (in cases where master/slave is not the formal name) might be more common in WI than FL.
I notice this b/c I’m from WI but when to college in FL and worked my first job in FL.

Finally I say some electronic thing correct.
I used to say “gui” as “G you eye” until I heard people say “gooey”.
I also used to say led like the element until i found out it stood for something. However, saying it like I used to seems to have fallen into favor so now I alternate randomly.
