Regarding language revival, Wales is doing this too and some of it is just making up new “Welsh” words where perfectly suitable words already exist, it’s barmy. An example, the word TAXI has existed all over the world in all languages, the Welsh language “language deciders” I have another word for them, decided that the the Welsh word for TAXI will be TACSI. Why? It means nothing, it’s a word that never existed before the Welsh “language deciders” “decided” this. I am Welsh by the way and think this is nuts.
