With incandescent lamps the longest lasting versions were marketed by Osram under the “Trafic” branding, as they were used for traffic signal use. Thus a 20k hour life, can be flashed at 1Hz for that entire time, more than double the filament length, and also a lot more support legs for the filament. Efficiency wise just good enough so that the green signal is lit as green, and not as a brownish tinge, while the red and orange show up well.
You still get one application where you find incandescent lamps, as the lighting in substations, as those lamps typically have to last 50 years in service, with nobody turning the light on for more than a half hour in that time, and only incandescent lamps will survive that long with no failures.

The Tesla issue is not the LCD itself but an eMMC failing because they write too many useless logs on it.

1)I think Big Clive and Mike should make an album of Christmas songs, Hip Hop, or punk Techno…
2) Clive – Consider heading to Shenzhen in November for the China High Tech Fair – The stuff they show there shows up at CES a year later.. The Weather is just about right in November. I’m hoping to get there myself, Covid permitting, and will be happy to introduce you to HQB, and the SEG market. Reach out if you want to discuss!
