This pertains to the Chuck Peddle interview about people in the computer industry in the 70s. The book is”The Computer Entrepreneurs” and is out of print though it can be found. Covers Noyce, Jobs, Kildal, etc.
Brian Navarette says
Great interview. And hearing Dave Jones admit to not knowing something, priceless!

I know adverts bring money to the show but the advert in the middle of the last two episodes is really jarring. The first one caught me by surprise but I was quick enough to skip the second one altogether once I heard the music start.
Please don’t keep the adverts in the middle of the episode…
A Jaded Hobo says
I also found the commercial quite jarring.
Would it be possible to embed the ad more holistically into the content? Talking about a Keysight raffle will fit the podcast format better then announcing it I think.
Mark says
great interview! This topic is far more interesting than I anticipated. On the farm I grew up on we had two “Solid State” fence energizers, though we just called them fencers. There was also one that was triggered by a mercury bulb that oscillated.
I am ok with the commercials – I know you gents need to be compensated for all this hard work.

OK I know this is totally unrelated to the content and all, but I gotta stop and admire how smooth and hypnotic Thompson’s voice is. The guy must moonlight as an evening jazz radio host or an audio book narrator.
